It runs roughly twelve group trips a month — Maasai Mara safaris, Diani and Watamu beach escapes, Mount Kenya treks, Lake Naivasha weekends, Tsavo camping and cross-border trips to Uganda, Tanzania and Zanzibar — with a facilitator travelling on every departure. A three-day, two-night Maasai Mara safari with Pilly B Adventures costs from KSh 35,500 per person sharing. That includes return road transport from Nairobi in a 4x4 with a pop-up roof, a professional driver-guide, two nights' full-board tented accommodation, all park entry fees and unlimited game drives. Balloon safaris and the Maasai village fee are extra.
The most affordable options from Pilly B Adventures are the Ololua Nature Trail day hike in Karen from KSh 1,500, the Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate weekend from KSh 9,500 including one night's accommodation, and the two-day Nairobi National Park and Ol Donyo Sabuk trip from KSh 12,500. All depart from Nairobi and return the same weekend.

July to October for the Great Migration and river crossings, though this is peak season with the highest prices. January to March offers the best all-round value: clear skies, short grass, excellent resident big-cat sightings, fewer vehicles and lower rates. April and May are the long rains and are best avoided for a first safari.
