Diani runs for twenty-five uninterrupted kilometres south of Mombasa, protected by a coral reef that keeps the water flat, clear and swimmable all day. It has taken Africa's Leading Beach Destination award more times than any other stretch of coast.
Behind the sand sits the Diani Forest, home to the endangered Angolan colobus. Offshore, the Kisite-Mpunguti marine park offers some of the best snorkelling in East Africa, and resident pods of bottlenose and humpback dolphins.
