One weekend to Naivasha, twelve friends and a hired van.
It began because nobody else would organise it
In 2021 a group of friends had been saying for two years that they should go somewhere. Nobody booked anything, because booking anything means being the person who deals with the van, the camp, the money and everyone’s changing plans.
So one of us did it. Twelve people went to Naivasha for a weekend. On the drive back somebody asked when the next one was, and there has been a next one nearly every week since.
That is still the whole idea. We take on the part that stops people travelling — the planning, the permits, the payments, the logistics — so that saying yes to a trip costs you nothing more than a deposit and a free weekend.

By removing every obstacle between wanting to go and going: honest pricing, deposits instead of lump sums, group departures that make distant places affordable, and a team that handles the parts nobody enjoys.

Three things we will not compromise on
They sound obvious. They are also the three places most operators quietly cut corners.
We travel the routes ourselves
Nothing goes on the website that we have not driven, walked and slept on. If a camp slips, we drop it — even mid-season.
Honest before easy
We will tell you the flamingos have moved, that April is a bad month, or that the cheaper trip is the better one for you. Repeat travellers matter more than one booking.
The details are our job
Park fees, permits, border paperwork, pickup times, dietary needs. You should be thinking about the view, not the logistics.
Five years, one weekend at a time
- 2021
One trip, twelve friends
Pilly B started as a weekend to Naivasha organised for friends who kept saying they wanted to travel but never did. Twelve people, one hired van, one very full boot.
- 2022
The trips outgrew the friends
Word spread through WhatsApp groups faster than we could plan. We registered the company, bought the first vehicle and started running scheduled monthly departures.
- 2023
Across the border
Our first Uganda departure sold out in nine days. Cross-border logistics became a core skill, and Tanzania and Zanzibar followed the same year.
- 2024
Beyond the continent
Dubai and Malaysia joined the list, with visa processing brought in-house so travellers had one point of contact for the whole journey.

Five thousand travellers on
We run around a dozen group departures a month alongside private and corporate trips, and the Naivasha weekend that started it all still goes out most weeks.
